While it doesn’t take too long after the holidays for the weather to heat up, the prime time for pool time really ramps up in the summer months.  While spring time serves as a warm up, there are a few things you’ll want to address before the pool parties and daily swims begin.

Owning a swimming pool can be one of the best investments you can make, particularly for home entertainment, and key to being able to enjoy it fully is ensuring it is properly maintained and cleaned year-round.  When neglected, problems such as black algae can arise and lead to major headaches.

The way we do and see things changes constantly. From fashion to music to the way we do different things throughout our lives, nothing stays the same for long. Every now and then, things will make a “comeback” or be back in vogue, but at the end of the day, our tastes, needs, and options will continue to change and grow. It’s easy to see it in the way we dress, the way we watch TV, what our cars look like, and countless other things; it’s also true when it comes to building a new pool. Pool designs, materials, technology, and style have developed tremendously, even from 10 years ago. As we approach a new decade if this is the year you build a pool, here are some design trends you may want to consider.

Some gifts are made to go under a tree or in a stocking, some look, fit, and feel better in your pool. Just because the temperatures have dropped, and it may be a few months before you dip back into your backyard oasis, it doesn’t mean you can’t have some fresh, new items and accessories ready to go for next spring and summer. If you have a pool or are planning to build a pool, here are few things to add to your holiday shopping list.

There is a lot to during the fall in south Louisiana.  Of course, football season is in full swing, the kids are back in school, and your pool likely isn't as active as it was all summer.  Your new schedule changes range from school pickups to practices to tailgates and more.  But it also directly influences how you care for and maintain your pool.
