Here are a few tips to help ensure that your pool and its heater are ready to roll this fall, winter, and spring. ### Check To Ensure Your Pool Heater is Operating Properly Before it Gets Too Cold In order to avoid any headaches or last-minute problems, run your pool’s heater now so that know it is working properly. Heat pumps in pools work most efficiently when the temperature is about 50 degrees. Most pools take 24-72 hours to raise the water temperature by 20 degrees. ### How to Treat a New Pool Heater If you have a new pool heater or a new pool with a heater, this is a good time to make sure that the gas line is open.
